Music
Austin began formal piano lessons at age 8. Within the next couple of years he had garnered awards in composition statewide and nationally. He continued to shape his music through composition and performance which eventually led him to songwriting. He cites inspiration for his music from other artists such as Brett Dennen, Ray Lamontagne, and Marc Broussard. Austin’'s music often reflects his interests and passions on life experiences as he perceives these experiences through young eyes. His music is refreshing, nourishing, and lyrical.
Theatre

Acting has been a pivotal part of his life as he has performed on just about every stage in the Greater New Orleans region. His acting skill is highlighted by winning a semi-finalist position in the English Speaking Union’s National Shakespeare Competition which allowed him to perform on stage at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. He has studied acting extensively with NOCCA in New Orleans, Cap21 in Manhattan, and JPAS summer intensives.
